Harry <duca di Sussex>

Spare / Prince Harry

London : Bantam, 2023

Abstract: [EDIZIONE IN LINGUA INGLESE!] It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror. As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling - and how their lives would play out from that point on. For Harry, this is that story at last. With its raw, unflinching honesty, Spare is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief. Prince Harry wishes to support British charities with donations from his proceeds from Spare. The Duke of Sussex has donated $1,500,000 to Sentebale, an organisation he founded with Prince Seeiso in their mothers' legacies, which supports vulnerable children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana affected by HIV/AIDS. Prince Harry will also donate to the non-profit organisation WellChild in the amount of GBP300,000. WellChild, which he has been Royal patron of for fifteen years, makes it possible for children and young people with complex health needs to be cared for at home instead of hospital, wherever possible.

Girolamo Forni : mercante vicentino fornitore di Palladio / biografia a cura di Villa Forni Cerato Foundation

Cittadella : Biblos ; Montecchio Precalcino : Villa Forni Cerato Foundation, 2022

Gary, Romain

Promise at dawn / a memoir by Romain Gary ; translated by John Markham Beach

New York : New directions paperbook, 2017

Abstract: “I grew up in the certitude that one day I should help give back the earth to those who ennoble it with their courage and warm it with their love.” Promise at Dawn begins as the story of a mother’s sacrifice: alone and poor, she fiercely battles to give her son the very best. Romain Gary chronicles his childhood in Russia, Poland, and on the French Riviera and recounts his adventurous life as a young man fighting for France in World War II. But above all he tells the story of the love for his mother that was his life—their secret and private planet, their wonderland “born out of a mother’s murmur into a child’s ear, a promise whispered at dawn of future triumphs and greatness, of justice and love.”

Follett, Ken - Follett, Ken

Bad faith = Cattiva fede / Ken Follett

Edizione bilingue

Bologna : EDB, 2017

Lampi

Roberto Innocenti : l'arte di inventare i libri=the art of inventing books / Giorgio Bacci

Pisa : Istos, 2016

Collana Arte
